MADISON — Janesville Parker’s season will end with a 56-0 victory over Madison East. The Vikings accumulated 306 rushing yards on 28 carries Friday night at Lussier Stadium in a Big Eight Conference football game.
Parker secured a 21-0 first-quarter lead and scored 14 in the second quarter to take a commanding 35-0 lead at halftime. The Vikings’ final record is 3-6 overall and 3-4 in league play. The other two wins came against Madison West (21-20) and Madison La Follette (41-28).
“It was a fun night,” coach Joe Flister said. “We got the win and you know, three wins in one more than last year. But we feel like we can keep improving and do better.”
All eight of Parker’s touchdowns were scored by different players. Avery Eastman took three carries for 130 yards and a touchdown to highlight Parker’s dominant rushing night. At quarterback Ashton Smith completed five passes for 125 yards.
“It was a good way to finish the season,” Flister said. “I’m proud of the guys. We had an opportunity to get a lot of guys in the game, which felt good.”
