“It was a great day for golf,” Edgerton coach Alex Schaar said. “The weather was great and we didn’t have too much wind until the last quarter of the round. So I felt like the day was set up to play a really good round.”
And the Crimson Tide did just that. Jenny is currently in eighth place and freshman Kenna Cooper, who shot 12-over-par 84, is in ninth. Freshman Kennedy Kern, the team’s No. 1 golfer is in 16th-place after shooting 16-over-par 88.

“(Claudia) did great,” Schaar said. “That’s the greatest part of this team, whenever someone is down, someone else takes that spot. And how do you even coach that? I mean the chemistry that the girls have is just unbelievable.”
“I think I did pretty good,” Jenny said. “Obviously there’s a couple things I could do better but the end result turned out to be pretty good.”
Jenny noted her chipping as one thing to improve.

“We definitely could have done better but we didn’t expect much,” Williams said. “We did decently and we’re hoping to do better tomorrow.”
Divine Savior Holy Angels leads Division 1 after shooting 29-over par and Brookfield East holds second place after shooting 35-over par.
Milton will begin Day 2 at 8:10 a.m. when Ellie Johnson tees off.

“There’s no pressure, we just have to continue to play the game we’ve been playing all year,” Jenny said.
“We just put it on display that we can actually do it,” Schaar said. “You know, me talking about how we can win a state championship isn’t just words anymore. It’s a very tangible thing.”
