The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sandra and David Ascherl. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Upper Iowa University and has a Wisconsin State Social Work License. She works as a Youth Justice Social Worker for the Dane County Human Services Department and is also a small business owner in Rock County.

Her fiancé is the son of Dennis and Janet Svehla. He has his Associates in Science Degree from McHenry County College in Illinois. He currently works in IT.
