ELKHORN — Walworth County has appointed John Scholtz as its new veterans service officer.

The Walworth County Board approved Scholtz as the new officer on March 11. He enters the role after spending nine years as a veterans service specialist in the Veterans Service Office. Scholtz is a U.S. Air Force veteran.
