JANESVILLE — Mail a package, then get an ice cream treat. Or vice versa.Those will be among the options if a developer moves forward on a plan to build a Dairy Queen restaurant on a street-side lot just west of the U.S. Post Office along Janesville’s busy Milton Avenue retail corridor.

JANESVILLE — A Midwest chain known for its roast beef sandwiches and cheddar fries says it plans to build three new restaurants in Janesville and Beloit, but with a twist.

JANESVILLE — Grocery chain Hy-Vee will throw open the doors next week on its multimillion-dollar revamp of a former Janesville Shopko store.

A store official for Hy-Vee said the company is hiring more than 600 full-time and part-time workers at the Humes Road store plans a grand opening in February.

Uptown Janesville’s management on Wednesday confirmed that the Maurices women’s fashion store plans to relocate from the indoor mall at 2500 Milton Ave. to the 7,800 square-foot former Hometown Buffet space at Pine Tree Plaza at 2900 Deerfield Road. The move to the new site, near the juncture of I-90 and Hwy. 14 on the city's far northeast side, could happen as early as November.
