Topics are selected each month based on current events and the issues people of color are currently facing both locally and nationwide.

"Feelings are strong about immigration in our country. The federal government has been carrying out a campaign to deport people who they describe as criminals and those who put our safety at risk. Advocates for refugees and asylum seekers cite statistics showing that recent immigrants are more law abiding than citizens. Through the years, immigrants have contributed to our nation through their work and the communities they build. Many immigrants are afraid in the current social climate. How can we support our neighbors by understanding and appreciating them?" a release said.
