WHITEWATER — The state of the Wisconsin dementia plan will be the topic of discussion at the University of Whitewater Community Engagement Center on Wednesday, June 5 at 9 a.m. — 3:30 p.m.
According to the release, this is a conference for professions in aging and healthcare. The expert speakers provide insight and information on the 2024-2028 Wisconsin State Dementia Plan. Registration required.
Speakers include:
Carrie Molke, director Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources and Bryce Dorff, research analyst at the Department of Health Services speaking about “2024-2028 State Dementia Plan Overview.”
Laurie Kohler, APS coordinator at Department of Health Services on “Adult Protective Services, Dementia and Crisis.”
Jake Dunn, clinical social worker at Stoughton Hospital in the geriatric psychiatry department on “Dementia, Stabilization, In-Patient Psychiatric Units and the Law.”
Bonnie Nuttkinson, research program coordinator dementia care and caregiver research at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and Karen Tennyson, dementia care specialist, ADRC of Rock County on “Family Caregiver Concerns and Community Education.”
