JANESVILLE — A Fort Atkinson woman charged with delivering fentanyl to a Rock County Jail inmate in February 2023 was found guilty in court on Tuesday.
Amanda Buri, 36, was found guilty of manufacture/deliver less than 10 grams fentanyl with a possession with an intent to deliver/distribute a controlled substance on or near a jail.
Buri was also convicted of manufacture/deliver cocaine, more than 1-5 grams, with a possesion with intent to deliver/distribute a controlled substance on or near a jail. One count of delivering illegal articles to an inmate was dismissed but read in.
She was sentenced to six years in prison, three years of initial confinement and three years of extended supervision. She has already served 153 days in prison.
Also in court, she was found guilty of possession of cocaine. The sentence was withheld, but she received two years of probation. She was found guilty of one count of felony bail jumping and three counts were dismissed. For that, the sentence was withheld and she was given three years probation.
Buri was also found guilty of obstructing an officer and felony bail jumping. For this case, a count of drug paraphernalia possession, a count of felony bail jumping and a count of misdemeanor bail jumping were dismissed.
