JANESVILLE — A Janesville police officer who fatally shot an armed suspect in the 1200 block of N. Parker Drive on March 1 has been put on administrative leave pending an investigation, per a statement from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation on Tuesday.

The officer being placed on administrative leave is department policy, according to the statement.
