WHITEWATER — One person died Monday when an SUV and a car were involved in what the Rock County Sheriff’s Office called a “virtually head-on collision” in the town of Lima.

According to a release, the car driven by a 56-year-old woman from Whitewater was westbound around 8 a.m. in the 11000 block of E. County Highway N near the Rock-Jefferson County line, when she crossed the center line and collided with the eastbound SUV driven by a 53-year-old man from Janesville.
