The corn harvest continued in the Stateline Area Monday off Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit. Corn and soybean harvests are winding up in the area and winter wheat planting is about finished.

BELOIT — The harvest is winding up and so is planting of winter wheat in the Stateline Area.

Josh Kamp, crops and soils educator with the UW Extension out of Jefferson, Rock and Walworth counties, said farmers he has talked to are generally satisfied with this year’s yields, although they are lower than the last few years. But, another factor that is of concern is the price farmers are getting for their crops.
