Lt. Jennifer Seegar said the victim called 911 and officers arrived on scene and started life saving measures 3-4 minutes after the call.

While there was heavy police presence in the neighborhood Tuesday night due to the suspect being armed, Seegar said “there is no threat to the public” due to the individuals apparently knowing each other.

No arrests were made and police are still working to confirm who the shooter was. Seegar said the victim’s name is not currently being released but did confirm that person was admitted to a Janesville hospital.
