Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Rock County on Monday morning.
The crash was reported at about 11:13 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 213 and County M in the town of Magnolia, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
A 70-year-old Evansville man was on County M when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle occupied by a 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, both from Janesville.
The 70-year-old and the 18-year-old were taken to Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, while the 19-year-old woman was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Janesville. The Evansville man reportedly had a serious head injury but was listed in stable condition when he was released. Both Janesville residents were expected to be released from the hospitals Monday.
The Evansville man is expected to be cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to use seat belts.
The road was closed for about three hours as law enforcement cleared the road and conducted investigations.
Fire and medical personnel from Evansville, Footville and Janesville also assisted at the scene.
