JANESVILLE --- A domestic incident that brought Janesville police early Tuesday morning to the parking lot of McDonald’s, 1622 Milton Ave., on a shots fired call, later resulted in an arrest in Delavan.
According to a release, Janesville police responded around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday after witnesses in the parking lot reported shots fired.
Officers spoke with a woman who said while sitting inside her parked vehicle, she became involved in a domestic-related argument with a man later identified as Daniel Cordova.
During the incident, Cordova allegedly displayed a firearm and fired a shot inside the vehicle. At the time, two children were seated in the backseat. No one was injured. Cordova then exited the vehicle and was picked up by another individual in a vehicle before officers arrived.

Witnesses confirmed seeing Cordova leave the area.
At approximately 4:45 a.m., Cordova was taken into custody in the 1800 block of South Shore Drive in Delavan, with assistance from the Delavan Police Department and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office
Further investigation revealed that Cordova had visited a residence in Clinton before his arrest and had switched vehicles. With assistance from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was served approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. A small amount of illegal narcotics was seized.
Cordova was arrested on a series of tentative charges, including two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety as domestic abuse, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, being a felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct while armed as domestic violence and a probation violation.
Cordova was booked into the Rock County Jail, where he awaits his initial court appearance.
The investigation is continuing.
