I find it very ironic that the reason not to build housing on some of the few remaining parcels available in this area --other than farmland -- is because homeless and poor people are "loitering" in that area. Meanwhile, the city is handing out millions of dollars in subsidies to get developers to build anything at all around here, let alone affordable housing. If the plan fails, then use those subsidy funds to provide emergency housing for those who have nowhere to rest.
