German golfer Leonie Harm has won her first professional title on the Ladies European Tour, 13 years after nearly dying when she was hit by a drunken driver. Harm birdied her last two holes to win the German Masters on Sunday for a golfing breakthrough that seemed destined not to happen in 2013 when she went for an early-morning run before school. Harm was hit by a car being driven at 45 miles per hour by a woman who had been drinking alcohol. Harm said she suffered collapsed lungs, a skull fracture and had hematomas in her brain, while she also broke her ribs, hip and ankle. She was put in a medically induced coma. Harm says she has shown resilience in the tough times in her life.

Jon Rahm had his best performance at a major championship since leaving the PGA Tour for LIV Golf. Rahm finished second to Aaron Rai at the PGA Championship at Aronimink. Although it goes in the books as a runner-up finish, Rahm was three strokes behind Rai and didn't have a chance to win over the closing holes. Still, it was a reminder of how well Rahm can play in a major. He's been toiling in relative obscurity to American audiences while playing for LIV Golf. Rahm has two wins on LIV this year but had a disappointing finish at the Masters.

Rory McIlroy is enjoying life both on and off the golf course. He recently appeared in movies like Happy Gilmore 2 and The Devil Wears Prada 2. McIlroy is also celebrating his recent Masters win, joining greats like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as repeat winners. Ahead of the PGA Championship, McIlroy feels confident and relaxed. Hes balancing golf with other opportunities, including attending a state dinner at the White House. McIlroy admits he was wrong to support LIV Golf's alignment with the PGA Tour. Hes focused on winning more majors and possibly a gold medal at the Olympics.

Rory McIlroy has returned to his Masters form. The No. 2 player in the world heated up on the back nine Friday at Quail Hollow and finished with a 4-under 67 to climb into contention at the Truist Championship, four shots behind 36-hole leader Sungjae Im. Playing his first tournament since winning the green jacket for a second time on April 12 at Augusta National, McIlroy was 1 under and buried on the leaderboard eight shots back when he made the turn. But he shot 32 on the back nine to give himself a chance to win at Quail Hollow for a fifth time.

Matt McCarty shot an 8-under 63 with nine birdies at Quail Hollow to take a one-shot lead over Sungjae Im. Im, was on his final hole when rain halted play until Friday. Rory McIlroy, playing for the first time since his Masters win, finished with a 1-under 70 after starting his round with 17 pars. He finally made a birdie on his final hole. Five players, including defending champion Sepp Straka, are three shots back. Cameron Young is four shots behind.

Rory McIlroy says he feels more motivated than ever as he prepares for a major stretch of tournaments that includes the PGA Championship and U.S. Open. He's competing this week in the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow, where he first won on the PGA Tour 16 years ago. McIlroy enjoyed a relaxed break after his second Masters win, spending time with family and avoiding making the media rounds. He returns to Quail Hollow feeling refreshed and ready. McIlroy is the favorite, slightly ahead of Cameron Young, and is excited for the challenges ahead.

Cameron Young didnt have as easy of a time in the third round of the Cadillac Championship as he did while building a big lead Thursday and Friday. It didnt seem to matter, either. Young is still in full control at Trump National Doral, after his round of 2-under 70 on Saturday got him to 15 under for the week. He took a six-shot lead over a group that includes top-ranked Scottie Scheffler into a potentially rainy final round Sunday.
