JANESVILLE – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation invited the public to ask questions and see a presentation Wednesday on a future construction project along U.S. Highway 51 on Janesville's north side and just outside the city.

JANESVILLE – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the 2024 portion of the Center Avenue construction project in Janesville is on track to be finished on Nov. 15, its target date.

JANESVILLE — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s expansive tear-up and resurfacing of Center Avenue from the Five Points near downtown, and on south to Janesville’s south side, is coming soon. However, the work will last a bit longer than initially expected.

A multimillion dollar federal grant will help fund repairs to key railroad bridges in Rock County, according to the office of Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis.

A new public works facility between Janesville and Beloit will help Rock County better handle snow and salting operations when the Interstate 90/39 expansion is complete, a county official said.

The state Department of Transportation plans to close Interstates 90/39 and 43 in and around Beloit overnight Tuesday and Wednesday.

The stretch of Highway 14 between Janesville and Evansville is resurfaced and fully open to traffic, the state Department of Transportation said this week.

Construction on Interstate 90/39 and I-43 remains on schedule, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
