GLENDALE — The Northshore Bobbers walked off the Wisconsin Cheese Kings 5-4 in a Dairyland Collegiate League baseball game at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Field Tuesday night.
A 2-out single off of reliever Caleb Wilson proved to be the difference.
The Cheese Kings (3-5) grabbed a 3-0 first-inning lead on run-scoring singles from Connor Greuel and Jake Ulbert, while Garrett Guenther chipped in with a sacrifice fly. Charlie Jackson scored on Landen Seymour’s single for the Cheese Kings’ final run.
Seymour also advanced to second on a passed ball in the top of the ninth, but remained stranded at third as the inning ended.
Cheese King starter Pat Schork threw 5 1/3 innings of 1-run ball before reaching his pitch-count limit.
The Cheese Kings play a doubleheader at Johnson Creek, Sunday, June 22.
