VERONA — The Janesville Legion Post 205 baseball team lost its second game of the Verona Tournament, 8-2, against Silver Sluggers Navy 17u at Stampfl Field.
Post 205 is now 1-1 in the tournament and 1-4 on the season.
The Silver Sluggers' offense scored runs in four of the six innings played, scoring one in the first, three in the second and two each in the fifth and sixth inning.
Janesville scored a run in the fifth and sixth innings, with an RBI single from Craig's Sam Baran in the fifth and Edgerton's Donovan Hatch scoring on a fielder's choice in the sixth.
Craig's Easton Zastrow pitched five inning's for Janesville. He allowed eight hits, six runs, five earned runs, while issuing four strikeouts and four walks.
Post 205 continues tournament play Saturday when they take on Eau Claire's American Legion 17u team. That game is set to start at 11:15 a.m. at Stampfl Field.

On Thursday, Post 205 took on a Waunakee team and won 5-3 in their first game of the tournament.
Janesville scored all five of its runs in the third inning, right after Waunakee scored all of its runs in the second.
Post 205 landed its first three hitters on base to start the third. Brett Appel scored on a wild pitch for the inning's first run, which set the tone for an error-filled inning for Waunakee. Two more runners would score on a wild pitch and another from an error. by the third basemen. Sawyer Dominy would also provide an RBI single.
The game lasted a storm-shortened four innings, and Edgerton's Donovan Hatch was on the mound for all of them. Hatch allowed five hits, three earned runs, and struck out six while issuing three walks.
