Above: During a trip to Mexico, a tour guide was showing us the many murals of the Guadalupe neighborhood in San Miguel de Allende and the face under the foliage made me laugh. When the guide and another guest turned their attention to a mural across the street, I saw this opportunity. I like the implicit question: What could that photographer be shooting that’s more interesting than this? Top: When the waiter delivered this bowl of gazpacho, I knew it was headed for Instagram. I shot it with my phone before I pulled out my Nikon, filled the frame and aimed straight down. And, yes, it was the most-liked Insta of the trip.
