CLINTON Glenda Butterfield-Boldig, the current superintendent of the Bowler School District in north-central Wisconsin, will be the new superintendent of Clinton Community Schools.
The Clinton district announced Tuesday morning that Butterfield-Boldig was chosen to succeed Jim Brewer as district administrator. She will take over officially on July 1, 2026.
Ms. Butterfield-Boldings vision, integrity and commitment to academic success stood out throughout the selection process, Robert Maly, Clinton School Board resident, said in a release.
Butterfield-Boldig was chosen over Randy Bartels, the director of teaching and learning in the Marshall School District.
Brewer submitted his resignation in August and will stay on until the end of the school year. He has been Clintons district administrator since 2016.
Butterfield-Boldig is part of a wave of new school leadership in the Beloit area. This past July, new superintendents took over in South Beloit, Rockton and North Boone (Poplar Grove) in Illinois, and in the Parkview district in Orfordville.
The School District of Beloit in November named a new interim superintendent while it searches for a permanent replacement for Willie Garrison II, and the Hononegah Community High School District in Rockton, Illinois, chose Ehren Jarrett of Rockford to be its new superintendent when Michael Dugan retires at the end of this school year.
