Deputies responded to North Sterns Road near Lukas Lane shortly before 9 p.m., following a report of a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Milton police, Lakeside Fire and EMS, and Mercy Hospital’s MD-1 emergency vehicle were also on the scene.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Milton, had been northbound on North Sterns Road near Lukas Lane when his Chevy Silverado left the roadway and struck a tree, resulting in severe damage to the truck. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious but not life threating injuries, and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a second offense. The sheriff’s office did not release the driver’s name.

The crash remains under investigation.
