The episode premieres Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. on and YouTube, with TV broadcasts following on Nov. 22 and 23 across the Discover Wisconsin Regional Television Network.
“The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau brought in the show’s production team to the Janesville area over the summer, curating unique itineraries for each host that captured the city’s mix of energy, creativity, and local pride. The collaboration is part of the JACVB’s ongoing efforts to promote Janesville as a destination for leisure travel, sports, and events across Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest,” a release said.
“This investment was a natural fit,” said Christine Rebout, executive director of the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Discover Wisconsin reaches millions of viewers every year, and we’re excited for audiences across the region to see what makes Janesville so special in this new episode—our people, our stories, and the incredible variety of things to do here year-round.”
Filming locations included the Janesville Farmers Market, Rotary Botanical Gardens, downtown shops and restaurants, and local entertainment venues, with activities ranging from mountain biking and pickleball to axe throwing and live music.
“Filming in Janesville was such a joy… The community welcomed us with open arms, and every corner of the city had something unexpected to offer,” Discover Wisconsin Producer Jessica Vokoun said. “From the energy downtown to the stories shared by local business owners, we really felt the heart of Janesville shine through on camera.”
The partnership with Discover Wisconsin supports the JACVB’s mission to showcase Janesville as a dynamic destination while driving economic growth through tourism, Rebout said. In 2024, visitors contributed an estimated $466,000 each day to Janesville’s local economy, supporting local restaurants, retailers, and attractions.
“This kind of exposure helps us reach entirely new audiences—families planning weekend getaways, outdoor enthusiasts, and visitors who may not have discovered Janesville yet,” added Rebout. “It’s an incredible opportunity to build pride locally and spark curiosity from travelers across the region.”
