JANESVILLE — Janesville Police Officer Sean T. Jauch will retire from the Janesville Police Department on Dec. 31 after more than 27 years of service.
Officer Jauch has served with the Janesville Police Department since January 1998. In the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including patrol officer, SWAT, SWAT negotiator, peer support, police chaplain liaison, field training officer, range officer, range coordinator, motorcycle unit, and, most recently, school resource officer at Janesville Craig High School.
The Janesville Police Department has on several occasions acknowledged Jauch for his contributions as a school resource officer, including with a chief’s commendation in 2014, an exemplary service citation in 2024, and police officer of the year awards in 2012 and 2024.
“The Janesville Police Department would like to thank Officer Jauch for over 27 years of dedicated service to his community, the Janesville Police Department, and the city of Janesville,” a release said.
