BELOIT -- Willow Wallis has announced a bid for the Rock County Board of Supervisors' District 16 seat in Beloit.
Wallis, who owns a home in Beloit with their husband, William, said in a release they seek “to bring their passion for structure and policy to the county board.”

The 2026 spring election is April 7. If a primary is necessary, it will be Feb. 17.
Those interested in running for a seat on the county board can begin circulating nomination papers on Dec. 1. Candidates have until Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 5 p.m. to turn in nomination paperwork with required signatures to the Rock County clerk.
To be on the ballot, potential candidates are required to have a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 100 signatures. For more information about running for a seat, contact Rock County Clerk Lisa Tollefson at 608-757-5660.
All 29 county board seats are up for election in April.
Wallis works remotely as a policy analyst for children’s Medicaid at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. They are currently vice chair of the Young Democrats for Rock County.
Wallis has a bachelor’s degree in political Science from Beloit College and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from UW-Madison.
“Beloit has given me so much. I’m delighted to run for county board and have the opportunity to give back,” Wallis said in a release. “I adored being a Beloit College student and now 4-plus years into home ownership in Beloit, I love Beloit in a whole new way.”
Wallis has been endorsed in their county board run by State Sen. Mark Spreitzer and State Rep. Clinton Anderson.
“I’ve experienced first-hand that one person can make a difference by stepping into a leadership role and representing their peers. I’m running to bring new energy and ideas to the Rock County Board in District 16,” Wallis continued.
