JANESVILLE United Ways Blackhawk Region is opening a new home office in what for the nonprofit marks a return to Janesvilles downtown.
The agency is opening the doors at its new digs in the BMO bank building in the heart of downtown, at 101 N. Parker Drive, suite 220. The United Way is announcing the grand opening and an open house for the new space at 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The nonprofits leadership says it hopes residents will visit the new spot.
The United Way formally moved into the BMO office earlier this year.
The new space is the first time United Way has had a brick-and-mortar spot downtown since 2024, when the agency sold off its 8,100-square-foot building at 205 N. Main St. and moved out. That building now houses Great Harvest, a bakery-cafe. At the time, the United Way said it was only using a small part of the building.
United Way now returns to the BMO building, just across the street from its former location.
Its leadership says the move re-centralizes the office to serve its clients.
This new location reflects our commitment to being where our community needs us most, Dennis Pauli, the United Way Blackhawk Regions interim President and CEO, said. Our door has always been open to neighbors, partners and changemakers. Now our (office) space reflects that.
United Way Blackhawk Region is the main umbrella funding nonprofit serving clients in Rock County and northern Winnebago County.
