C.J. Mara of Janesville shares about his connection to the Janesville 99 during an event Sunday at the Janesville Veterans of Foreign Wars post to honor the men of Company A 192 Tank Battalion who suffered through the Bataan Death March and Japanese prisoner of war camps.

The Janesville 99 serving in Company A of the 192nd Tank Battalion arrived in the Philippines on Thanksgiving Day 1941, and for the next three years suffered horrific torture including enduring the Bataan Death March at the hands of their Japanese captors.
