Wilson currently represents District 5, which includes most of the city of Milton. He has served on the county board since December 2020, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy when supervisor Jeremy Zajac resigned to take a job with the county.

Wilson was then elected in 2022 and reelected in 2024.

Candidates interested in running for a seat on the county board have until Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 5 p.m. to submit paperwork and signatures to be placed on the ballot. The deadline for incumbents to file a notice of noncandidacy is 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26.

All 29 county board seats are up for election on April 7. If a primary is needed, the primary will be on Feb. 17.
